· Business Managers agreed in principle to refer the Childcare (Wales) Bill to the Children, Young People and Education Committee (CYPE) for Stage 1 consideration.
· Business Managers agreed to write to the Chair of the CYPE Committee to consult on Stage 1 and Stage 2 deadlines.
Business Managers asked the Secretariat to confirm whether the half term dates proposed for autumn 2018 and spring 2019 were in line with school holidays throughout Wales, or whether the dates varied in different parts of the country. Business Committee will return to the issue next week, once that information is available.
Business Managers agreed the proposed 2018 Easter recess, May Day and Whitsun half-term tabling arrangements.
If the Assembly agrees the General Principles and the financial resolution of the Law Derived from the European Union Bill this week, Stage 2 will happen in a Committee of the Whole Assembly next Tuesday.
Business Managers agreed that the Committee of the Whole Assembly will start at 13:00 and that Plenary starts 15 minutes after it concludes.
Under the timetable agreed by the Assembly, Stage 3 of the Bill will take place on Wednesday 21 March. Business Managers agreed that it be taken as the last item of business, to allow the longest period possible for both tabling of amendments after the conclusion of Stage 2 and preparation of papers etc.
